Iformis is a small software company based in Edinburgh. We have traditionally provided custom software to help businesses automate their processes. We have a wide range of customers in terms of business activities, size and location across the UK.
We are currently developing a product that we plan to launch to some of our current customers in the early part of this year with plans to roll the product out to the wider market in the latter part of 2021.
This role therefore represents an opportunity to become a key member of the core team in the early stages of software product development.
We need someone who is happy to work across the full development lifecycle from initial discussions with customers through software design, development, testing and release.
Customer focus is more important than experience in any particular technology but experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
● Ruby on Rails
● Mobile application development
You will work directly with clients to understand their requirements and define the best technical solution.
You will also design and develop software whilst liaising with clients throughout development using wireframes and prototypes to make sure we develop practical solutions.
An important aspect of the role is to keep up to date with the latest software development practices and recommend the best technologies, processes and tools to the rest of the team.
Based on your own interests and skills, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a key area of our software development and operational processes, such as system security, software performance, customer and user experience or internal development processes.
• Flexible working hours
• Home-based working
• Direct customer feedback on the solutions you deploy
• Opportunity to play a key role in technology decisions
• Opportunity to be involved in the early stage of product development
Please note that this role is full-time, but we are flexible and will consider part-time if this is more suitable for the successful candidate.
Working hours are also flexible. Developers can normally choose their own working hours to suit their personal circumstances.
Salary range: £30k – £40k depending on experience
