Project Engineer Returnship

This is a paid Returnship opportunity designed for those with relevant skills and experience who have taken a career break of 2+ years. As such the salary will reflect the candidates experience as well as the industry average.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for those of you who are returning to the workplace after a break of 2+ years. Ideally suited to someone who has taken a break to raise a family or fulfil other caring responsibilities. This Returnship will allow you to build your confidence on your return to work whilst progressing your skills in an exciting role.

This is a 6 month programme beginning in September 2019. Throughout you’ll be assigned with a mentor during  your Returnship whilst also receiving development relating to leadership skills as well as on the job training.

The role is positioned in the International Supply Centre (ISC) Engineering team providing Capital Project support to Cameronbridge Distillery, Leven Spirit Supply, Leven Packaging and our Central Sites or Malt Distilling. The overall purpose of this team is to deliver the strategy for asset development.

For this role this includes:

  • Use specialist knowledge to deliver capital expenditure projects to the correct technical specification.
  • Managing efficient spend for capital expenditure projects.
  • Co-ordinating and managing external resources.

We’re looking for people with character: motivated, resilient and open – minded. You’ll have experience as an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer who has developed within your area of expertise by attaining qualifications and/ or specialist skills.

You’ll have previous experience in project management and you’ll also have health and safety experience with a relevant qualification e.g. NEBOSH.

You’ll be good at relationship building, have excellent communication skills and be an effective communicator.
